Helping Residents Travel! Caring Yunhe Enterprise Donates Streetlights to Benefit People

"It used to be dark when walking along this farm access road at night. Now with street lights installed, it is safer and more reassuring for everyone to walk or ride bikes after dark." Looking at the brand-new solar street lights soon to be put into use, Shang Zhanghua villager Shang Qingxiang from Meiyuan Village, Chongtou Town, spoke highly of the project.

On September 15, construction workers were busy installing a batch of solar street lights beside the farm access road in Shang Zhanghua Natural Village, Meiyuan Village. This set of public welfare facilities was donated free of charge by Ji Zhifei, head of Zhejiang Youbel Toy Co., Ltd., a local caring enterprise in Yunhe.

Meiyuan Village governs 13 natural villages with scattered settlements and extensive rural road networks. For a long time, the Houjiao Highway and main village roads have been well equipped with lighting facilities and offer good traffic conditions, yet farm access roads connecting different natural villages lacked sufficient lighting. "We are grateful for the warm support from this caring enterprise, which has greatly improved villagers’ sense of happiness and security." said Ji Fadong, Party Branch Secretary of Meiyuan Village. The street lights are mainly erected in Shang Zhanghua Natural Village, and also serve several other natural villages including Xiaqiutian, Xiawuping and Maodun, upgrading lighting on farm access roads and facilitating residents’ travel at night.

It is learned that the donation includes 35 pieces of 6-meter-high solar street lights with a total value of more than 50,000 yuan. Adopting energy-saving and environment-friendly solar power storage, the lights turn on automatically after dark, featuring high efficiency, convenience and eco-friendliness. "I studied at Meiyuan Middle School when I was young and have deep affection for this land. Now that our enterprise is developing steadily, I want to do something practical for the villagers and make a modest contribution." Ji Zhifei remarked.

These street lights light up country lanes and warm the hearts of local residents. The generous donation of the enterprise puts social responsibility into practice and brings warm impetus to rural development.
